I do poorly in social situations, and likely have a bit of social anxiety and low self esteem. Never really beat up much, but I was always treated like crap by everyone, picked on, and name called, sometimes even by those who I considered my friends. I must have given off the same type of vibe after I left high school because the same type of crap followed me to my first year of university in residence. It always stays with you, but the sting does go away. My parents never knew what I went through, and although my siblings were close in age, they didn't really know all of it either. It was pretty funny because I shot up in height in my first year of university (from 5'10 to about 6'3); at my 10 year reunion, the biggest bullies were the ones trying to be friends and talk with me. The same ones who have done absolutely nothing with their life, trying to re-live 18. Even though I'm still awkward in social situations (which has caused some issues with friendships and maintaining them), I'm in a great place in my life right now.
