Right around 1:00 pm this afternoon, I officially completed all of the editing of The Caravan Chronicles. This includes the black and white edition, the color special edition, and the eBook edition. As far as I am concerned, they are now in “Gold” status and ready for publishing.
A few weeks ago I would have said they were ready to go, but as I dug a bit more into the grammar and sentence structure of each of the chapters, I found a lot of things that could be tweaked to read better. I made use of Grammarly to do a lot of the grammar and syntax stuff that I hadn’t picked up on before. I learned a surprising amount of information about certain words, sentence structure and how I was not using enough commas in my prose. But after last night, I finished my last read through and was quite happy with the result. Unless something spectacular changes, I expect this to be the text of the book when it’s published.
With all that behind me now, it’s time to figure out my marketing plan, where and when I want to release it, and all the nuances that go along with it. I plan to document my efforts here to keep myself in check and keep the effort on the surface. Unlike Seagulls (which hasn’t been published yet), I don’t want to lose focus on what I am doing and keep my eye on the ball.
Even last night I had a hard time sleeping thinking about all the possibilities. I can’t wait to get this out.
